1. Provider
AI GIS AGENT PRO is provided by Gerard Franch. General contact: gerardfradu@gmail.com. Product support: aigisagentpro@gmail.com.
2. Free software
AI GIS AGENT PRO is provided free of charge. No payment, account, license key, activation code, subscription or online license validation is required to download, install or use the plugin.
3. GNU GPL v2
The GPL-covered software is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 2 (GPLv2). The GPL grants rights to use, study, modify and redistribute the covered software subject to the GPL. These Terms do not replace, narrow or override those rights.
Where there is a conflict concerning rights granted by the GPL for GPL-covered software, the GPL governs those rights. The complete GPL v2 text is included with the software and is available from the Free Software Foundation.
4. Source code and notices
The distribution is accompanied by the source code and applicable license notices required by GPLv2. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses. Nothing in these Terms grants rights in third-party software beyond those licenses.
5. Optional contributions
You may optionally support the development of AI GIS AGENT PRO through a voluntary contribution, including through PayPal. A contribution is not required to access the plugin and does not unlock features, create a separate proprietary software license, or purchase preferential treatment. Contributions do not restrict the GPL rights applicable to the software.
6. Third-party software and services
The plugin may interact with QGIS, Python packages, MCP-compatible software, Visual Studio Code, GitHub Copilot, AI providers, mapping/search services, APIs and other third-party software or data sources. Each third-party component remains subject to its own license and terms. We do not claim ownership of third-party trademarks, software or datasets.
You are responsible for complying with the terms applicable to third-party services you choose to use and for obtaining any permissions required for data you process.
7. AI output and user responsibility
The plugin may generate AI-assisted suggestions, code, GIS operations, classifications, searches or other outputs. Such outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate. You must independently review important results before relying on them, especially where decisions may affect people, property, safety, legal compliance or material business outcomes.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and checking operations before executing them on important GIS projects or datasets.
8. Availability and updates
The plugin is provided as a free open-source project. Updates may be published at the provider's discretion and are not guaranteed to be released on a particular schedule. Nothing in these Terms limits your GPL rights to versions you receive or otherwise lawfully obtain.
9. Privacy
Use of the website and external services may involve processing of personal or technical data by the relevant providers. See our Privacy Policy. Do not send confidential, personal or regulated data to third-party AI or internet services unless you have determined that the transfer is lawful and appropriate.
10. Consumer and mandatory legal rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits or replaces any mandatory rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the software is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without additional guarantees that every feature will remain available, error-free or compatible with every QGIS release, operating system, Python environment, AI provider, API or third-party service.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gerard Franch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the software. This does not exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including mandatory consumer protections.
13. Changes
These Terms may be updated when the software, distribution model or applicable law changes. The version published on this page applies prospectively, subject always to the GPL rights attached to software already received and to mandatory law.
14. Governing law
These Terms are intended to be interpreted consistently with applicable mandatory law. Any choice-of-law or jurisdiction rule is subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot legally be waived.
